Blood Orange Apple Cider Recipe

Ingredients:
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1 cup fresh blood orange juice (about 2–3 blood oranges)
- 1 blood orange (sliced, for garnish)
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole cloves
- 1 star anise (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the apple cider, blood orange juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
- Heat over medium heat until the mixture starts to steam. Do not boil.
- Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired for additional sweetness.
- Strain the mixture to remove the spices (optional, if you prefer a smoother drink).
- Pour into mugs and garnish with a blood orange slice and a cinnamon stick. Serve warm.
